selfLove.Yoga began as one teacher's answer to a simple question: what if a yoga school just focused on teaching well? No gimmicks, no over-produced branding — just real guidance, at a price that doesn't gatekeep the practice.
Barry spent years writing software before yoga rewired his path. What began as a personal Ashtanga Mysore practice grew into a calling to teach — and eventually, to build a school that trains the next generation of instructors the way he wished he'd been trained: honestly, affordably, and with real mentorship.
"I want to share the profound benefits of practicing yoga with everyone around the world."
Yoga is not merely about physical well-being but about nurturing a holistic balance of body, mind, and spirit. That's the whole philosophy behind selfLove.Yoga, captured in one Sanskrit word: Atmabhakti, self-devotion.
We ask every student to devote themselves — not to a brand, not to a studio aesthetic, but to their own practice. Everything we build, from the free foundational classes to the full 200-hour training, exists in service of that devotion.

Unlike many post-pandemic studios that prioritize fancy websites, cool shops, and decorations over substantive teaching, selfLove.Yoga focuses on real, down-to-earth guidance from experienced teachers — training a new generation of skilled, knowledgeable yoga instructors in the most affordable way possible.
