// Full bio
Before he was a yoga teacher, Barry Au-Yeung was a software engineer. That background shows up everywhere in how he teaches today: structured sequencing, precise cueing, and a habit of measuring what matters — whether that's a student's alignment or their progress through the 200-Hour curriculum.
He is E-RYT500 and YACEP certified, with 11+ years of teaching experience across the Bay Area, and a devoted Ashtanga Mysore practitioner in his own personal practice. Sessions with Barry run 50–90 minutes depending on the studio and format, spanning Vinyasa, Hatha, Slow Flow, and Yogalates.
Students describe his classes as complex, energetic, and detail-oriented — instruction that meets beginners where they are while continuing to sharpen advanced practitioners.
“A devoted Ashtanga Mysore practitioner; teaching yoga is an integral part of my yogic journey.”
“Over 10 years of teaching experience and solid reviews from students.”
“I want to share the profound benefits of practicing yoga with everyone around the world.”
